AED project
The project AED is a campaign for the diffusion of life-saving instruments known as AEDs, or Automated External Defibrillators.Since 2013, Lido Azzurro Varedo, on its own, has decided to equip itself with one of these important instruments to safeguard its customers, the sportsmen and women who frequent the facility, the athletes of the sports clubs that train at Lido Azzurro and all the members of the amateur sports associations present in the facility.
All the Lido Azzurro Varedo staff and all the NP Varedo instructors have been trained and have passed the examination to obtain the licence to use the AED device. Since it is a semi-automatic defibrillator, it is not necessary to be a doctor or paramedic to use this instrument. In fact, it is equipped with a technology that, through specific sensors, is able to recognise the nature of the cardiac problem and allows the operator to "release" the shock discharge, only if effectively and strictly necessary, modulating its intensity. It is, in any case, a first aid device and as such, can only be used by personnel already trained in first aid and who have passed the examination for the use of AED systems.
